Habits

I do most of my social media from my phone. That being said, some things are not as easy to do on the phone. Blogging is one of them. So ALL my activity is certainly posted on myFacebook  page: Amanda’s Elevated Designs but I’m trying to make a better habit of posting just as much HERE.

In the meantime- here’s a little of what I’ve been working on since my last post.

Snow Day

We have had quite the wild weather here in Colorado this spring. Several days of pleasant weather then several inches of snow. We need the moisture and I do enjoy having the time to work on some projects so I won’t complain too much. So I’ve veered away from the paper crafts a tad recently and have picked up chalk painting and doing various crafts from reclaimed wood. Nothing big, just lots of small projects I’ve been eyeing So here’s just a few of what Amanda’s Elevated Designs is currently selling locally:

God is Love

After seeing Going Global for the past several weeks, I know this next sentence will come as a surprise. My favorite stamp set currently is Timeless Texture. So be prepared for an overload of this set now! I just LOVE how this set provides texture without needing to invest in many other embellishments, therefore making this a perfect set for a beginner stamper.

Oh…and butterflies? Who can go wrong with those?  I do realize the butterfly thinlet has coordinating stamp sets (Butterfly Basics p124 and Watercolor Wings p75 of the IB&C) but because the lower right corner of the card was already fairly busy, I didn’t want to over do it on the butterfly.

This card is chuck full of different yet simple elements, so without further adieu, I’ll just list the items below because the card pretty much explains itself.God is loveJust one last thing…there is an amazing new tool (Big Shot Die Brush) featured in the Occasions catalog that makes these detailed framelits/thinlets ridiculously easy to get out once you’ve cut them. It presses out all those little pieces with no hassle and I quote my friend, Amanda B., “It’s so easy a child can do it!” And she put it to the test!God is love zoomSpread some cheer today and get together with some friends to challenge one another and ignite your creativity!

God Bless,

Love

I know you all are probably sick of the lovey dovey cards but there’s no such thing as too much love. Imagine the world we’d live in if each of us tried to out-love one another? This card was inspired by one I saw created by my inspirational upline, Kimberly Van Diepen. Again, some elements were changed to suit the supplies I had on hand. That is the beauty of what we do. We can change the color of a card or some of the accessories and it can totally change the feel of the card. So never feel discouraged if you copy someone’s idea- it’s the greatest form of flattery. Just be sure to give credit where it’s due.LoveWhat’s not to love about the elements on this card? The glitter ribbon is yummy and adds some bling without putting this out of the realm of possibilities for a masculine card. I promise to feature some new sets soon…but for now I can’t get enough of this one. Get it NOW before it’s GONE!Love zoomNow get out there and make something beautiful! Have a great time being crazy creating!

God Bless,

Greatest Adventure

I love finding ways to use a stamp set “outside of the box”. This Going Global (140745) really had me thinking Valentine’s. And I’ll admit, Valentine’s Day was here and gone before I really started inking this bad boy up. So off to the creative boards I went to search out some non-traditional ways to use this set. I’d love to tell everyone I’m a creative genius and can take credit for every card I stamp, but sometimes a person just gets creative block and they need help from a fellow stamper. So thank you, Tamara Bertram, for this idea which I tweaked for the supplies I had on hand. I am in love with this card and it’s versatility. Greatest adventure2

…and just when you think you own every circle punch…you find you are missing the one size needed to punch this doodad out haha.

Sky is the Limit

So of course I would fall in love with a stamp set that is only available for a limited time. I debated whether to post this photo since you can no longer order it but I’m sure many of you loved it as much as I did and DID get it while it was available. That being said, here’s then a creative inspiration for how to use your stamp! Sky is limitI embossed the plane using Versamark and Pewter powder. The ink is Lost Lagoon using the Work Of Art stamp set. I love the simplicity of this card. Then of course a little bling is needed and so I added some rhinestones, a clear button and twine. Enjoy!Sky is limit zoomedAnother stamp set that would work great with this technique is Traveler. Very easy to make a masculine card or a simple antique looking card.

Don’t forget for every $50 you spend, you get a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! If ordering online, use the HOSTESS CODE below. Have a great time being crazy creating!

XOXO

I am in awe of how awesome this card turned out and how simple it really was to make. The XOXO sentiment comes from February’s Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit accessories are available for ordering but right now there are not any stamp sets available for purchase so when re-creating this card, you may need to find a different sentiment. Enjoy!
Get crazy creating!
